The Wind River, Yukon Expedition - July 2023
This canoe expedition will travel north on the Wind River from its headwaters in the Yukon, paddling 200km over two weeks in July 2023
The Wind River is a spectacular trip through the northern Canadian wild lands offering wonderful paddling, stunning scenery, incredible wildlife and the opportunity for days off to hike the surrounding peaks and relax in camp.
We will be entirely self-sufficient paddling tandem expedition canoes. Land and float plane transportation to and from the river from Whitehorse is included, as are the first and last night’s accommodation in Whitehorse. Outfitting and food are provided while on the river – you will only need your personal clothing and camping gear.
The trip is suitable for competent canoeists on grade 2 water and those less experienced who are paddling with a competent partner.
We are currently finalising details with outfitters and transportation services and will provide full information soon.
In the meantime we hope you’re interested, please call to talk to us about the trip.

EXAMPLE OF A PREVIOUS CANADIAN EXPEDITION:
South Nahanni River - 2017
As an example of one of our previous canoe expeditions, in the summer of 2017, we travelled for two weeks down the South Nahanni River in a remote area of the North West Territories. We flew by float plane from the Mackenzie River to Rabbitkettle Lake and from there paddled 380km down the river to our finish at Lindberg Landings on the Liard River 14 days later.
